The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) administers a number of standards dealing directly with environmental noise. There is an ongoing activity to endorse or adopt the standards prepared by other organizations for use in Canadian context. Input was received from members of the environmental Noise Subcommittee of the Z107 Technical committee of the CSA. The environmental noise standards that are currently in use include CAN/CSA- ISO 1996-1, CAN/CSA- ISO 1996-2, CAN/CSA- ISO 1996-3, CAN/CSA-Z107.55-M86, ISO 9631-1, ISO 9631-2, ISO-4872, and SAE J1096. The ISO 2922 standard is related to the measurement of noise emitted by vessels on island waterway and harbors. The CAN3-Z107.54-M85 (R1993) standard is related to the procedure for the measurement of sound and vibration due to blasting operations.}, number={3}, journal={Canadian Acoustics}, author={Gastmeier, Bill}, year={2006}, month={Sep.}, pages={48–49} }
