No such documented recorded test has been found, as it is generally presented with live voice. The goal of this study was to develop a word recognition in noise test for children and adults speaker of French in the Eastern side of Canada. The Test de Mots dans le Bruit (TMB) includes four lists of 35 words and a babble noise. The word material was especially selected to be used with individuals having a vocabulary of children of 5 years or older. Preliminary data were collected among seven groups of children from 6 to 12 years, and a grouped of adults. No significant difference was revealed between the four list sets of the TMB when comparing the performance measured at a signal-to-noise ratio of +5 dB. A developmental effect was noted. The improvement of speech perception in noise ability with age will be explored in a study on the development of normative data.}, number={2}, journal={Canadian Acoustics}, author={Lagacé, Josée}, year={2010}, month={Jun.}, pages={19–30} }
