Among all desired performances, acoustic criteria should be taken into account. These directly affect the comfort of people and the way they can communicate together. Although architectural acoustics is omnipresent in our everyday life, its importance is variable and it remains often neglected by designers. At the school of architecture of Universite´ Laval, the study of acoustics has been part of elective courses for many years. Students can take one or two theory courses with practical laboratory work or complete a project as part of the workshop in physical ambiences. This paper attempts to analyze teaching methods applied in the specific context of architectural education.}, number={2}, journal={Canadian Acoustics}, author={Migneron, Jean-Philippe and Hardy, Jean-François and Potvin, André and Demers, Claude M.
