The use of PMN as active material in actuators and transducers presents some difficulties which include: highly nonlinear properties; temperature and frequency dependence of dielectric permittivity; and the need for direct current bias field. To help in the design of PMN-based transducers, a numerical modeling capability and a FEM are needed. ER -
