The study also demonstrated the instrument's acoustical properties, such as pitch deviation and inharmonicity. The study focused on these parameters, as provide a better understanding of the instrument. The santur is a flat string instrument, which is played with a pair of hammer sticks. The pair of hammer sticks are held between the index and middle fingers, while being used to hit the strings. The study demonstrated that the harmonicity factors of different notes are different from each other. It was observed that the harmonicity factor increases, regardless of the tone area, as an user moves towards higher notes. It was also observed that the values calculated through different harmonics are different. ER -
