AbstractAn overview of the new method for description and measurement of environmental noise is presented. Although some issues related to the method implementation remain, as yet, unresolved, the method represents a significant improvement over the currently used assessment procedures. A new approach to the assessment of impulsive noise is the main advantage of the method.
