Importance et Facon de Preparer un Profil d'Exposition au Bruit Suite a une Demande de Reparation Pour Pretendue Surdite Professionnelle
Abstract
The authors emphasize the importance of knowing the total noise exposure dose in order to establish the cause and effect relationship in the case of a compensation request due to occupational hearing damage. A brief review of different studies and methods to estimate the total noise exposure dose and the risk of hearing loss is given. In most of these methods the noise exposure doses are based on quasi-stable noise. The authors present a method to establish a noise exposure profile which takes into account the employee's movements, the present and past doses of exposure and their variation with time to estimate the number of years at the different risk classes. A good correlation was established between the total exposure dose based on this method and the verdicts of hearing loss.Additional Files
