Abstract

Reviews a useful technique for performing zoom transforms. The method involves recording a long-time signal and transforming it in parts, using a smaller transform. Its ability to handle long-time signals renders the method attractive to both acousticians and vibrations engineers. Examples and the listing of a computer program are given to demonstrate the technique
