Abstract

The coupling effects that occur in double porosity media in the two fluid networks are described. Two macroscopic descriptions are proposed and compared to the experimental measurements. Three scales are necessary to describe the material: the macroscale, the mesoscale, and the microscale. Two main behaviors, depending on the contrast of static permeability between the pores and the micropores are briefly described. Measurements are made using standing wave tubes, in the direction of perforations.
