Wavelet noise reduction: Application to speech enhancement
Keywords:
Noise abatement, Speech analysis, White acoustic noise, Speech enhancementAbstract
An approach is proposed to remove noise by wavelet transform. The proposed method uses singularity information analysis and thresholding of the wavelet coefficients for noise reduction. The proposed approach is tested using speech sound corrupted by white noise and speech recorded in real environments.Published
