Abstract

The effect of eliminating division operation in normalized least mean square (NLMS) adaptation algorithm was analyzed. The proposed approach was found to possess a longer ramp-up time when the input signal level drops. It was shown that, on minimizing the number of division operations improved the efficiency of an algorithm.
