Eliminating division operation in NLMS algorithm
Keywords:Algorithms, Digital signal processing, Iterative methods, Mathematical models, Spurious signal noise, Normalized least mean square (NLMS) adaptation algorithms
AbstractThe effect of eliminating division operation in normalized least mean square (NLMS) adaptation algorithm was analyzed. The proposed approach was found to possess a longer ramp-up time when the input signal level drops. It was shown that, on minimizing the number of division operations improved the efficiency of an algorithm.
