Abstract

A method of beamforming which collects each sample from a randomly selected array element was discussed. The samples collected from all channels were treated together to recover the desired signal. The results showed that the residual noise of the aggregate beamformer was reduced by increasing the sampling rate beyond the Nyquist rate.
