Pitch-based acoustic feature analysis for the discrimination of speech and monophonic singing

Abstract


Pitch-based acoustic feature analysis for the discrimination of speech and monophonic singing was studied. The extraction models for features based on the fundamental frequency were also discussed. It was observed that a pitch-based feature that would seem useful in the speech/song task is pitch continuity.
