On the use of smartphones for occupational noise monitoring: Instrumentation

This paper presents an on-going research effort that focuses on a smartphone-based occupational noise monitoring platform A laboratory calibration method for smartphones and embedded devices, together with an innovative "field" calibration are detailed. The evaluation of uncertainties associated with the use of smartphones for noise level measurement is discussed with regards to the main individual uncertainty components.Downloads
