Abstract

This paper considers the acoustic performance of glazed storefronts in the context of post-pandemic office usage. Glazed storefronts have varying STC ratings and can lead to issues with speech privacy. For clients, financial cost may be the most important consideration. In addition to these typical considerations, acousticians may want to consider the embodied carbon cost of glazing in the context of social, financial and environmental costs.
