Abstract

The sound intensity technique is being implemented to measure sound transmission loss at the Centre for Building Studies acoustics test facility. The use of the intensity technique for this purpose is being investigated in three main areas; validation with respect to standard techniques; determination of appropriate measuring procedure; exploiting the analytical capabilities of the technique. This paper presents some preliminary findings with respect to these areas
