Abstract

The authors examine the principal methods for measuring impulse responses in room acoustics. The first part of the paper is a synthesis of conventional techniques; the second discusses modern methods, together with the main advantages and disadvantages of the techniques. It is shown in the second part that all new techniques in signal processing are based on convolution and correlation theory
