Abstract

A real time analyzer was used to measure the community noise over the Oslo-Drammen freeway in Norway for a five minute duration. Results show that the sample interval and the sample metric are significant factors in the interpretation and evaluation of results. It was most useful to be able to measure all different time intervals in the same instrument on the same signal. This helped provide a description and an understanding of the noise environment.
