Résumé

A model based on the wave approach for semi-infinite plates was used to calculate the coupling loss factors for statistical energy analysis. The coupling loss factors are expressed in terms of point mobility functions. The concept of an effective connection length is evaluated for a bolted joint between a plate and a stiffening rib. A parametric calculation is carried out with varying width to evaluate the concept of an equivalent connection length.
