The factors contributing to noise reduction in early childhood centers were discussed. Speech recognition was governed by background noise levels, room acoustics and hearing. Proper acoustic standards, health codes and building codes were necessary for listening comfort, an enhanced accessibility to spoken language and auditory brain development.
