Résumé

The relationship between classroom acoustics and the architectural design is discussed. The classroom acoustic design include the issues of clarity, reverberance, envelopment, intimacy and loudness. Architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical needs must be met to satisfy current building codes to support life safety issues and indoor environmental considerations. In designing the classrooms the ambient noise level, shapes of the rooms, ceilings and walls should be taken into considerations.
