Résumé

A summary of the external accreditation of the acoustical standards program at the Institute for National Measurement Standards was presented. The institute had standard procedures which covered the relatively mundane part of the requirements such as how to handle the instruments when they arrive. The importance of the time spent in preparing for the accreditation was found to be essential for international recognition. It was also found that each program needs to be loaded from a separate disk every time to identify the correct version of the program.
