Résumé

En France, depuis la réforme « 100% santé », le marché de l’audioprothèse a vu le nombre d’appareils de classe I (100% remboursés) multiplié par 4,5 entre 2019 et 2021. Des comparaisons entre appareils de classe I et II ont déjà étés réalisées uniquement sur les surdités légères et moyennes. Cette étude se penche donc sur le cas des surdités sévères. 18 adultes déficients auditifs sévères déjà appareillés ont été recrutés et séparés aléatoirement en deux groupes. L’étude s’est échelonnée sur trois rendez-vous, espacés de 15 jours d’essai. 1er : Adaptation des prothèses classe I ou II ; 2ème : Adaptation de l’autre paire d’appareils et tests audiométriques et APHAB ; 3ème : Tests audiométriques et APHAB. L’ensemble des résultats démontrent qu’aucune différence significative entre les appareils de classe I et II n’a été mis en lumière. Concernant les pertes auditives sévères, l’appareillage de classe I semble apporter autant de bénéfice subjectif et objectif que l’appareillage de classe II.
