Abstract

The activities of working groups and Canadian participation in International Organization for Standardization (ISO) TC43 'acoustics' and ISO TC43/SC1 'noise' were discussed. The aim of the ISO TC43 and its subcommittees (SC) was international harmonization of methods for measuring noise and human hearing assessment. The activities provided a basis for noise reduction measures in products, buildings, environment and hearing conservation.
