Résumé

The acoustic parameters which are the cues for judging the happy and sad emotions in music were discussed. Tempo or beats per minute and mode or key were verified as important cues to judgements of happy and sad emotion in music. Vibrato and articulation were the other parameters which affect the judgement of happy and sad emotion in music.
