Résumé

The sound levels in the community around the pulp and paper mills were investigated. A predictive model was developed based on the sound levels from new equipments and existing equipments. A five meter high earth berm was built around the west side of the property, joining up with an existing three-meter high earth berm on the north side. The measurements indicated that the sound level at each receptor was not affected by the sounds from the yard.
