Le projet « JoBoCo : Journal de bord et de connaissance » visait au développement d'un outil informatique dynamique et collaboratif favorisant l'encadrement des activités de recherche des étudiants aux cycles supérieurs et assurant la formation de ces derniers aux bonnes pratiques de laboratoire. Les pratiques d’encadrements des professeurs-chercheurs et les besoins des étudiants-chercheurs ont été évalués en même temps qu’un recensement des outils informatiques existant. Suite à cet exercice, plusieurs logiciels ont été évalués et un système basé sur l’utilisation intégrée des logiciels Group-Office, Mendeley et WordPress a été retenu. Ce système intégré est maintenant utilisé par plusieurs équipes de recherche en acoustique au département de génie mécanique de l’École de technologie supérieure et devrait permettre, une fois les problèmes de déploiement du système et de formation des utilisateurs résolus, d’aider les professeurs activement impliqués dans la formation et l'encadrement d'étudiants aux cycles supérieurs.
