Author Guidelines

The authors are encouraged to use the available Microsoft™ Word or Latex templates. for regular articles. For articles to be submitted to "Practicioner's Corner", use the Microsoft Word template for Practioner's Corner.

For LaTeX, the encoding used for the different files is UTF-8. The template can be compiled with three options: ``francais" or ``"english" for the desired language, ``"article" or "proceeding" depending on the manuscript type and "preprint" or "final" depending on stage of publication. During the submission of an article to the journal, the "article" and "preprint" options must be used (preview). Later, once the article has been accepted, the "article" and "final" options must be used (preview). For this reason, authors shall submitt a ZIP archive of all Latex sources.

For Word, the proposed template corresponds to an article in its final formatting, ready for publication (preview). During the submission of an article to the journal, this template must be edited so that the entire text is double spaced and each line numbered (preview).

Letter to the Editor

Letters to the editor are a critical part of the scientific community dialogue, and the Canadian Acoustics attempts to publish all letters of opinion meeting our editorial requirements. Letters must be the original work of the author and must be exclusive to the Canadian Acoustics.

Practitioner's Corner

The Canadian Acoustics journal encourages authors to submit their high quality case studies to the Practicioner's Corner, as long as the case study is novel, of practical significance and of sufficient scientific/technical depth. Each manuscript will be reviewed by the Canadian Acoustics Editorial Board that will enforce the journal publication policies (original content, non-commercialism, etc.) and the proper use of the simplified submission template. Manuscript length should not exceed five journal pages.

This section contains non-peer reviewed articles.

Proceedings of the Acoustics Week in Canada

A two-page article is required for the proceedings of the Acoustics Week in Canada, the annual conference of the Canadian Acoustical Association. This manuscript must still be formatted using the available Microsoft Word or Latex templates.
