Résumé

The closed cells trapped in the materials can burst and change the properties of the material. Techniques based on static or dynamic measurements with compression, shear or torsion tests are performed to characterize the elastic properties. The influence of boundaries conditions is analyzed and a measurement method for the three elastic parameters is derived. The measured transfer function can be correlated to the shape factor of the test specimen. The numerical simulations are found to be in good agreement with the measured sound absorption coefficient.
