Résumé

In order to reduce the overlap of measured floor data, the relative direct impact and airborne sound insulation improvement of toppings on homogeneous floors (concrete and cross-laminated timber (CLT)) of different mass and stiffness will be compared. During the last years, NRC has collected data on both concrete and CLT floors that may be transferable to one another similarly to the ASTM 2179 standard (Effectiveness of Coverings on Concrete Floors). Findings and limitations of this comparison method will be discussed.
