Résumé

The control of flanking transmission using floor toppings was discussed. Addition of toppings increased or decreased propagation losses across the floor relative to the bare floor, according to vibration maps. The change in propagation loss was a function of the type of topping and the orientation of the joists in the floor to which it was applied.
